This independent production company, established by Dorota Roszkowska in 2003. Specialises in documentaries. The company is based in Warsaw and works all over the world. Arkana’s purpose is encompassed in the Latin word arcanus (secret). Arkana is mainly involved in production, education, and documentary film promotion. The company works with HBO , TVP, ARTE , and YLE. Arkana also was the organiser of the Academy of Documentary Arts (www.academyofdoc.eu), which runs international film workshops and pitch sessions, e.g. the Dragon Forum during the Krakow Film Festival.
