Program MEDIA 2007 (2007 – 2013) supporting European audiovisual industry, is one of the most important element of UE’s audiovisual policy. It’s focused on independent producers, distributors, film festivals, markets organizations, film schools and cinemas. MEDIA Program promotes the audiovisual sector in the following areas: - preparation and development of the film project (Media development - single project, slate funding – feature films, creative documentaries, animations and interactive projects),
- production of films and programs intended for distribution in the European broadcasting stations (TV Broadcasting)
- access to finance for film production by financial institutions (I2I Audiovisual)
- distribution of European films,
- promotions and festivals (Access to markets, the European festivals),
- organization of international training programs (media training)
- implementation of new technologies (Pilot Project)
The core activities of the office Media Desk Poland is to enable professionals to fully exploit the audiovisual industry grant from the European Union, and to increase the activity of the audiovisual industry in the international arena. Media Desk Poland team informs about all European audiovisual events, training programs, new calls for submission and assist in completing the applications. Also, being a part of the network with other media desks in Europe, the office is able to organize joint events designed for the audiovisual industry: conferences, seminars and meetings. The office has a website, issues a quarterly newsletter, directory of training courses supported by MEDIA and other publications to promote the Media Program. Contact: Media Desk Polska ul.
