KIPA Sections _CMN_PDF_ALT Print _CMN_EMAIL_ALT
  • Feature Film Producers Section of KIPA has undertaken the task of updating the camera crew statute dating from 1972 (created in the former ‘Zespół Filmowy’ state enterprise). A new statute, in line with current production, technological, and legal conditions, is a necessary tool for the development of modern film production. At present, there is no formal system of regulation of competences, obligations and rights that would cover the entire process of production and it particular stages. Young producers, above all, expect clear rules in this field and therefore, have been actively participating in the process of document drafting. At the same time works on production costs unification will be carried out. Presently, every producer creating a budget is forced to prepare several versions of the cost estimate for the same project.

  • KIPA’s Independent TV Advertisement Producers Section has prepared a uniform template of cost estimate for production of TV advertisement and is now working on establishing and identifying basic rules that govern this section of the audiovisual market; these include: client-agency-production company relations; measures countering dumping and groundless price-increase in services; and rules of cooperation within a camera crew.

  • KIPA’s Young Producer Section has also been working on finding solutions to problems frequently encountered by young producers entering the profession. Furthermore, this section will be responsible for introducing topics of future training events and workshops organized by KIPA.

  • Activity of the Film Animation Group (as a part of the Feature Film Producers Section) concentrate on creation of mechanisms for co-financing of international co-productions with Polish participation and on organizing training for filmmakers and producers that work with animation. It collaborates with art schools and academies.
