Metro Films was established in 1997 and for the first two years of its activity it focused predominately on production of advertising forms (TV spots, commercials, promotional videos). Later on, after securing a strong business position, it began producing feature films and documentaries. In time, Metro Films added film production targeted at children to its offer; the company now produces full-length cinema animation films and
nature documentaries. Many of its past productions (but also some of the upcoming ones, currently in the pre-production phase or development) were done in cooperation with authors and film companies from other parts of the world.

Producers from Metro Films are constantly looking for talented filmmakers in hope that their fresh ideas will lead to new original projects and successful cooperation. Owing to twelve years of experience on the Polish market the company is now greatly esteemed by various film institutions and companies, e.g.: Polish Film Institute, TVP S.A. (in the field of feature and documentary film production), international advertising agencies (TBWA, Gruppa 66 Ogilvy, D’Arcy/G7, Young&Rubicam), major companies on the Polish market (PZU, Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa – Era mobile phone network, Danone), and governmental institutions (The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, PARP; Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, PaIiIZ; Ministry of Infrastructure). Metro Films has been commissioned by these clients to create TV commercials, television spots, promotional videos, and social advertisings. In addition, the company provides film services to foreign production companies and foreign producers working in Polish film studios and on location.
