Grupa Filmowa is an independent production company and was established in 2002. Its main activity consists of production of feature films, TV films, TV series, TV theatre plays, and documentaries. The company also provides full range of production organization services, both in Poland and abroad. Several production realized by Grupa Filmowa and its partner company Film It have received six awards at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (including Special Jury Award and Award for best actor in a leading role for Marian Dziędziel) and seven Polish Film Awards Golden Eagles (for best film, best art direction, best screenplay, and best actor in a leading role for Marian Dziędziel, best actress in a supporting role for Iwona Bielska, best music for Tymon Tymański, and peoples’ choice award). In addition, Grupa Filmowa’s productions have been awarded for best screenplay at the Warsaw Film Festival and received Złoty Granat Award at the Festival of Comic Films in Lubomierz.

Films co-produced by Grupa Filmowa have been also awarded at many international film festivals: in Locarno, Karlovy Vary, Mar del Plata, Moscow, Pusan, Goteborg, Cottbus, and Festroya, to name a few. This year Grupa Filmowa will commence production of feature film “Maraton Tańca” directed by Magdalena Holland-Łazarkiewicz.
