 Grupa Smacznego (GS Animation) is a production company and animation studio based in Gdańsk, creating animated films in 2D and educational multimedia for children. The biggest-ever production of the GS was the animated series “Harry and Toto” (based on original concept by Paul Shuttleworth) for BBC Worldwide, presented on the CBeebies channel in many countries, as well as the animations for the film „1409. Afera na zamku Bartenstein”. / “Year 1409th. Affair of the Bartenstein Castle.”
GS Animation realized a number of animated opening titles to well-known television programmes, including “Duże dzieci”/ “Big Children”.
The company’s strategic partners are: Pearson Longman, UK (a series of educational CD-ROMs, an animated series "Poptropica") and Wydawnictwa Szkolne i Pedagogiczne (an animated series: including „Przygody Zetki i Zygzaka” / “The Adventures of Zetka and Zigzag”, a series of CD-ROMs “Miś” / “Teddy-Bear”), Oxford University Press (series “Playschool”) and others. The short film “Agronauta” produced by GS was presented at international animation festivals, and mentioned “Harry and Toto” was the official selection of the International Animated Film Festival in Annecy, in France in 2009.
The company cooperates with numerous animators, graphic artists, writers and programmers, using the programmes Flash, Toon Boom, After Effects.
The studio’s latest production is original animated series “Mami Fatale” (currently in the development) created in collaboration with the Studio Miniatur Filmowych. |
