Aurora Film Production, founded by Rafał Kapeliński and Piotr Ledwig, is an independent production company for short and feature art films. In addition, the the company conducts publishing activities (DVD). Among its most acclaimed productions are "Emilka płacze" and "Ballada o Piotrowskim", both directed by Rafał Kapeliński. These films have received awards at various important film festivals in Poland and abroad, e.g. at the European Short Film Festival in Brest (France), Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, IFF Oberhausen (Germany) and Austin Film Festival (USA). Currently, within the framework of the European programme Cinefondation Residence under the aegis of the Cannes Film Festival, the film "Na dachu" is in progress under the supervision of Richard Kwietniowski. Furthermore, in September 2009 medium-length feature film "Konfident" ("The Informer") will be shot under the supervision of Wojciech Marczewski as part of the "30 minutes" programme organized by Andrzej Munk Studio "Młodzi i Film".
